Module 6
bubbl.us is an easy to use tool but I'm not sure I would use it regularly with any class. It definitely has some uses as far as professional loooking presentations are concerned. Perhaps it could be used in class as a tool for students to organise their thoughts. This could be in the form of planning writing or a generic organising activity such as the classifications of animals...

Bubblus (and other mind mapping/visual organisers like mindomo and webspiration) are an excellent tool to use as a pre-unit check on what students know, and then a post-unit activity to see what they have learned. If you are going to use Glogster with your students, make sure you investigate Glogster Edu as it offers a layer of protection that glogster.com doesn't.
ReplyDeleteThanks Scott. I'm a little hesitant to post-assess as a class group. My students (stage 2) would need a lot of time to do this on a irregular basis. Sure it looks great and is easily manipulated but do we have to eliminate paper and pencil totally?
